Member Agencies

Metropolitan is a public agency and a regional water wholesaler. We are a voluntary cooperative of 26 member agencies that purchase some or all of their water from Metropolitan. These member agencies and their sub-agencies provide water for 19 million people across six Southern California counties. Metropolitan is governed by a 38-member board of directors made up of representatives from each of Metropolitan’s member agencies, with each agency represented by at least one representative.
